Update: I am rebuilding my blog over at moltoandmolto.com. I’m new to wordpress.org, so it will take a little while for things to not look like a grande casino, but I’ll get there. Thanks for stopping by!

We don’t have a selfie stick. Or a tripod. Nor have I ever used the timer on my camera. So the photos on this blog, and I do like to share them (quality be dammed), are usually of buildings. Often close ups. Or of Matt. When I can catch him unawares. But sometimes we take self portraits.

This blog does more or less what it says in the title: I write about our Italian life, when I find it interesting, our travels, which I often find more so, and occasionally other things, too, like when I worry about what taking a couple of years out of ‘career building’ will do to my future potential to earn my living.

We are both New Zealanders, living in Northern Italy. So far north we don’t get to call the boot home. We essentially live somewhere in the upper thigh, in a small town called Rovereto. We’re here for two three years, maybe more and then…? Somewhere new, we hope.

Italy has been home since April 2013 and we are making the most of our time here by language learning (attempts), sight seeing and, more recently, hiking in the hills/mountains surrounding our valley. This blog is our (mostly my) account of what we have been getting up to.

I also instagram, tweet and once I even made a video.

    • Getting to visit often is still pretty sweet! It looks like you’re working much harder on your Italian than I am, I should take some inspiration from you 🙂

    Dear Matt

My name is Joe Pinzone and I’m casting an international travel show about expats moving abroad. We’d love to film in Italy and wanted to know if you could help us find expats who have moved there within the last 15 months or have been there for 3-4 years, but recently moved into a new home. The show documents their move to a new country and will place the country in fabulous light. The expats on the show would also receive monetary compensation if they are filmed. They must also speak English fluently and can be buyers or renters for their homes. If you’d like more information, please give me a call at 212-231-7716 or skype me at joefromnyc. You can also email me at joepinzone@leopardusa.com. Looking forward to hearing from you.

    • Yes, excellent! I am expecting to see so many more selfie sticks once summer rolls around, I’m not looking forward to it. Thanks for your comment! I am actually in the process of moving everything over to moltoandmolto.com if you want to follow along there 🙂
