The milk shop

There exists in Italy the Latteria, a shop dedicated to selling all things to do with milk. So cheese, mostly. And a little yoghurt, and some of those crunchy cracker like bread things that are a common aperitivo accompaniment. I missed my train on Saturday as I was in line at the Latteria behind a woman who was buying a lot – who order came to over €40. That’s a lot of cheese. But waiting for that next train was worth it for the two freshly filled, chocolate sprinkled and icing sugared cannoli I came away with. (Which, incidentally, only cost a tiny €1.90, so that really was a lot of cheese for the other customer.)
